I went for a tracker because it offered the cheapest rate on the market at the time.
I wanted to buy because I think you take more pride in your own home, it provides more security and one day it'll be totally yours. And I don't think I'll be moving again.
Fran's thoughts
I found moving very stressful and I won't be doing it again. The mortgage lender was helpful, though.
If I could do it again I wouldn't involve an estate agent if possible.
I did everything by the book regarding surveys and everything. Taking out a mortgage was actually easy, but tying down some of the other people you have do deal with was much harder.
